TLF Celebrates Honorees in Cinci
This year, The LAGRANT Foundation celebrated its 21st Anniversary with a Scholarship & Donor Reception in Cincinnati. A beautiful networking gala on Monday night, May 20th, featured guest speaker Craig Buchholz, Chief Communications Officer of Procter & Gamble as well as Daryl McCullough, Global Chairman & CEO of Citizen Relations, Dhane Scotti, Global Integrated Consumer and Marketing Lead at Google.
TLF awarded scholarships to 65 ethnic minority students which represented a 30 percent increase from past celebrations. The list included 26 graduate students who walked across the stage to receive their awards. An historic six CCNY BIC students were joined by students from schools such as Harvard, Stanford, University of Pennsylvania, Emory, and Columbia.
This year's recipients are: Mohamed Amribet '20, who has a BBA in Marketing Communications from Berkeley College, John Holliday-Stewart '20 who has a BS in Public Relations from Middle Tennessee State University, Carlos Matias '20 who has a BS in Mass Communications from St. John's University, Carmen Quang '20 who double majored in Psychology and Communications at City College/Macauley Honors College, Raymond Sein '20 who has a BS in Advertising and Marketing Communications from FIT, and Kamattie Singh '20 who has a BS in Speech Communications from Saint Joseph's College.
In addition to the awards ceremony, students spent three days networking and taking part in professional development workshops hosted at P&G headquarters. The workshops on Tuesday, May 21st were led by Citizen Relations, including current employee and BIC alum, Mike Mangal -- an added bonus!
BIC is grateful for the vision and support of TLF founder and CEO Kim Hunter who has been an amazing force and guiding light in the communications industry. His commitment to future leadership is brought to life through the foundation's amazing efforts. The BIC Program at City College is proud to have had 20 scholarship winners since we launched in 2013.
